This really super vintage car has been in the same family for over forty years and was in continous use until very recently. It has clearly been lovingly restored to a very high standard and has been a regular winner at shows including a Class First award against stiff competition at the Riley Register Coventry Rally. It comes with a comprehensive history file of invoices, restoration photographs and pictures of it at various rallies, there is even a buff log book dating back to 1957 which records the last change of ownership in August 1967! It has very stylish and rare (maybe even unique) two/three seater beetle back tourer coachwork by Warren,Taylor Ltd of Barnet in Hertfordshire, England which sets it apart from the more traditional Riley 9 tourers. The general standard of finish and engineering is very high indeed and is a tribute to the care its owners lavished on it. There is little point in just continuing to list a series of superlatives, the best thing you can do is come and see it for yourself if you want what must be one of the best vintage Riley 9s around! |
