This MGA Twin Cam has been in the same ownership for 23 years and is only for sale as the owner is finding it increasingly difficult to get in and out of it! Within recent years he has spent around £12,000 (the bills are on file!) keeping the car in good order which includes fitting a five speed gearbox.The original four speed box comes with the car in case you want to return it to standard but a short drive might well persuade you to leave it just as it is! It is very fast car which is taut and rattle free on the road with super handling and a really good ride. In addition the steering is very precise and the car goes exactly where you point it when pushing it hard through corners and its four wheel disc brakes are also really good so you can go fast safe in the knowledge that you will also be able to stop. It is a very sound presentable car which is not in show condition but is a real driver's car which will suit people who prefer, say, historic rallying to concours events. These Twin Cams rarely come on the market (only 2,111 were made) so if you want one you really ought to come and have a look fairly quickly. |
